Our Grading

Every pre-owned or open-box item we sell is assessed and graded based on both cosmetic condition and performance. Where relevant, we’ll note any marks in the product description and include close-up photos, so you know exactly what you’re buying.

All non-new items are tested and verified before listing (inputs/outputs, controls, channels, functionality, and general performance). If an item has limitations, missing parts, or notable cosmetic wear, we’ll state it clearly.

New – Factory sealed, unused and unopened.

We offer a small selection of brands as an authorised reseller. These products are listed as New on our product pages and include the full manufacturer warranty (unless stated otherwise).

New Old Stock (NOS)

Unused trade-in stock, typically factory sealed — but sold as pre-owned.
Very occasionally we receive items that are genuinely brand new (often sealed) via trade-in. Because they are technically second-hand old stock, manufacturer warranty may not apply. These items are listed as New Old Stock.

Grade A — Mint / Open-Box

Like-new condition with no visible wear.
Usually an open-box item that looks essentially untouched. Fully tested and confirmed to be operating flawlessly. Packaging and accessories are often present — we’ll list exactly what’s included.

Grade B — Excellent / Very good

Minor signs of careful use.
Light wear may be visible on close inspection (small marks, very light surface rubs). Typically single-owner items that have been looked after exceptionally well. Fully tested and fully functional.

Grade C — Good

Noticeable cosmetic wear, solid performance.
May show moderate signs of use such as small scratches, minor discoloration, or marks on panels/edges. Nothing structural or severe unless explicitly stated. Fully tested, fully operational, and priced accordingly.

Grade D — Fair / Heavily Used

Clear wear and tear, but working.
Expect visible scratching, worn surfaces, and obvious signs of long-term use. We rarely stock Grade D, but may list it for genuinely rare or collectible pieces where condition is reflected in the price. Fully tested unless stated otherwise.

Grade E — For Restoration / Parts

Poor condition and/or partially working.
Significant cosmetic damage and/or functional faults. These are rarely offered because we normally restore equipment to at least a good standard. If we list a Grade E item, it will be clearly described as faulty / for restoration, with known issues stated.
