Here for sale we have a Rega Planar 2 w/ RB250 arm and Ortofon 510 MC cartridge, approximately 25 years old. It’s an iconic turntable that’s remained remarkably consistent over the decades, with only small refinements along the way.
One of the easiest tells on this earlier example is the power switch on the left-hand side of the plinth, whereas modern Planar 2 models hide the switch underneath.
This vintage version also features the classic green Rega logo on the black plinth – a detail no longer used on current production models and one that gives it a proper period-correct look. There are also a few green inserts on the tonearm and countereight – a nice touch to highlight the 90s era.
The condition is great, however a few scratches on the dustcover are present.

The RB220 tonearm is loaded with new features that boost performance while keeping setup refreshingly straightforward. It uses Rega’s ultra-low-friction bearings (patent pending), mounted in a newly designed bearing housing that’s stiffer and lighter for greater stability and precision.

11mm self-securing brass bearing, designed for a more precise fit and reduced stress on the bearing, helping to minimise unwanted energy transfer.
